IAMC will build a four-star hotel with approximately 250 rooms on campus and within walking distance proximity to the hospital, university, and research/simulation center. The hotel will be designed to be an integrated superstructure with the long-term rehabilitative care component of the hospital. 100 rooms will serve the overnight “day” rehabilitation patients, and 150 rooms will be aligned for visitors and vendors to the various IAMC operations. There will be separate entrances to the hotel and long-term rehabilitative care sections, with the superstructure being efficient and cost-effective by design. GDI plans to bid the management of the hotel to hotel lodging flags such as Marriott/Starwood, Hilton, IHG, Hyatt, or other reputable brands. The hotel will serve visitors to the campus, including vendors, patient families, student families, and other interested parties.
