The International Academic Medical Center (IAMC) KSA

The IAMC is a 250,000 square meter campus specializing in delivering best in the world healthcare, health sciences education and health sciences research and simulation. The campus will have the following components; a 300-bed 60,000 sqm teaching hospital focused on rehabilitation healthcare, a 1,500 student 25,000 sqm university center, a 7,000 sqm research and simulation center, a 15,000 sqm outpatient center with 100 IAMC-Overnight residences, a 200 key hotel and a Museum of Islamic Medicine. Additional facilities for retail, office, worker housing and associated infrastructure are conceptually designed as well.

The hospital, outpatient center, university, research & simulation center and hotel will be modeled and advised by the very top international experts in their respective fields. Each operation will be partnered with a local Saudi operator to ensure localized needs and to build Saudi institutional capability for long term transformation.

IAMC will transform the KSA healthcare landscape by introducing world-class rehabilitation healthcare creating better patient outcomes while reducing overall healthcare costs. Health sciences education will introduce the very best of international models (European, Asian, American and Saudi) to create a unique Saudi health sciences curriculum designed to graduate the very best healthcare clinicians including doctors, nurses, allied health , pharmacists in addition to informatics and healthcare administration professionals. The research and simulation center will use the most advanced technology to educate Saudi students with process and procedures from internationally renowned educators using advanced communication and simulation technologies including augmented reality and virtual reality. Lastly, the research and simulation center will help commercialize applied techniques, processes and products derived from the hospital and university.

The IAMC is being developed and master planned by Gulf Development International Ltd (GDI) in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
