Student and Worker Housing

The IAMC campus and surrounding areas will become a draw for further residential and commercial development, as there will be several thousand workers at the hospital, university, and associated facilities. In order to replicate the atmosphere of the world’s best integrated research universities, GDI will build initial student and working housing of approximately 30,000 square meters. We intend for a dormitory-style building with 200 units supporting up to 400 students with a mix of about 1 and 2 student dorm rooms. Our initial phase of worker housing will consist of 100 units of 1, 2, and 3-bedroom apartment homes. The housing will be on campus and within walking distance proximity to the hospital, university, and research/simulation center. The housing will be in a multi-unit format and designed to integrate into the overall aesthetic of the campus. The design will be efficient and cost-effective. The housing will be supported at market rates and be self-sustaining from day one. We expect the campus destination orientation will require at least 1,000 more homes of various styles and sizes, and we have master planned this future development.

GDI plans to build the housing with modular construction technology. GDI has several modular partners and will select one that fits the needs, cost and quality of the IAMC campus. The net result will be a modern, quickly constructed multi-unit student and worker housing that creates a comfortable and inviting place for IAMC students and professionals to live, work and study
