Rehabilitation Outpatient Center

The rehabilitation healthcare delivery model will include outpatient care that will decrease overall patient costs while reducing the average length of stay.  An outpatient rehabilitation facility, staffed with clinicians affiliated with the rehabilitation hospital, will serve patients who do not require the intensive medical care and monitoring provided at the rehabilitation hospital but still need various treatments and therapies.

Some patients progress enough in their recovery to warrant a discharge from the inpatient facility, but they may still need to be near the IAMC campus to participate as outpatients. Thus, GDI will construct a four-star hotel on the campus. The hotel will also include up to 100 rooms that may be used to house IAMC outpatients and their families. These “IAMC Place” residences will be located in a separate wing of the hotel. The rooms will be built to facilitate the rehab process, including a kitchenette and modified bathroom to accommodate the needs of patients. Other amenities will be designed in the rooms to help the patient readjust to performing basic life tasks and prepare for returning home post-treatment. The rooms can also accommodate a family member or caregiver to stay in the room with the patient. The hotel and IAMC Place residences will be managed by the same internationally branded hotel, and patients, guests, and their families will have access to hotel services and amenities.
